St Regulus Annexe, 17-19 Queens Terrace, St Andrews
External and internal decoration works.
We were delighted to be appointed to carry out decorating works for the University of St Andrews at St Regulus Annexe, a three-storey halls of residence located on Queens Terrace within the conservation area of St Andrews. External works included the redecoration of all timber sash and casement and dormer windows, timber doors, gutters and downpipes as well as full internal redecoration throughout.
More specifically, the external works comprised: strip all paint from all facia and soffits; prime, apply 2 coats weathershield undercoat and 2 coats weathershield gloss; strip back all top rails, mid rails, and windowsill from all windows; prime bare wood, apply 2 coats of weathershield undercoat and 2 coats of weathershield gloss colour Gardinia; and apply 2 coats of weathershield undercoat and 2 coats weathershield gloss to all external doors. For the gutters and down pipes, we sanded down and applied 2 coats of Rustoleum 769 undercoat; and applied 2 coats of Rustoleum Alkathane topcoat.
Internal works comprised the application of 1 full coat of Zinsser 123 primer to all walls and ceilings; 2 coats of Johnstone Covaplus to all ceilings; 2 coats of dulux diamond eggshell to all walls; 2 coats of Johnstone Aqua undercoat to all woodwork; 2 coats of Johnstone Aqua gloss to all woodwork; and 2 coats of dulux opaque stain to stair banister and handrail.
