The University of St Andrews
Refurbishment project
Following a successful competitive tender bid, we were appointed to carry out refurbishment works at Eden Campus Building 2 for the University of St Andrews. The building is category B listed and is located within the former Guardbridge papermill site which is currently being developed with numerous construction projects on-going at the same time. Our methodology for undertaking the works had to therefore reflect that this is a site where multiple Contractors are operating concurrently. We coordinated with the other Contractors to ensure smooth running of permits for road works and scaffold installation to the main street.
The purpose of this refurbishment project was to form an IT hub to serve Walter Bower House. The works comprised various construction work packages including roofing repairs and reconstruction to part of the roof and south elevation, external fabric repairs, replacement of windows, external and internal decoration works, installation of new raised access flooring, installation of mechanical & electrical works as including security, data and fire protection systems.
